Objective
The objective of this project is to create a maze on a paper plate using straws and navigate a marble through it. Students will learn about design, problem-solving, and basic principles of physics such as motion and gravity. This project encourages creativity, fine motor skills, and spatial reasoning.
Scientific interpretation
In this project, students will learn about the principles of motion and gravity. When the marble is placed on the paper plate and moved through the maze, it will follow the path created by the straws. The movement of the marble is influenced by gravity and the angle at which the plate is tilted. By designing the maze, students will also explore problem-solving and design thinking, considering how to create a challenging yet solvable path for the marble.
