Model Lungs

Objective

To construct a working model of human lungs using simple materials, helping students understand the mechanics of breathing and the function of the lungs in the respiratory system.

Scientific interpretation

This project demonstrates how the lungs work to inhale and exhale air. The balloons represent the lungs, the straw acts as the trachea, and the plastic bottle simulates the chest cavity. When the base of the bottle (chest cavity) is manipulated, it changes the air pressure inside, causing the balloons (lungs) to inflate and deflate. This model helps visualize how the diaphragm works in our bodies to help us breathe.

  • I have been browsing on-line greater than 3 hours these
days, but I by no means found any attention-grabbing article like
yours. It’s lovely value sufficient for me. In my view, if all web
owners and bloggers made excellent content material as you probably did,
the internet might be a lot more useful than ever
    before.
